The Tesla Model S Plaid is the quickest accelerating car in the fleet, a three motor electric sedan built around a 1.99 second launch to 60 mph with a one foot rollout and no engine noise to announce what is coming. Renters book it for those two seconds and for a passenger's reaction on camera rather than for any impression it makes on arrival.
How It Drives
The pull, when you ask for it, is total, 1,020 hp from three motors and a flat torque curve with no shifting and almost no noise to announce it. That makes the Plaid a thrill booking rather than client facing transport, and it rewards a straight road more than a tight one.
Who Rents It
The Tesla Model S Plaid is booked for thrill occasions, birthdays, bucket list requests, and content creators filming a passenger's reaction to the launch. It is not the right car for a wedding or client facing transport, since the booking is about the renter's own experience rather than anyone else's impression of the car. Five seats, a front trunk, and a rear hatch give it real luggage space alongside the performance, and the range covers a full day of driving without a charging stop. A first time renter should expect the yoke shaped wheel to need more hand over hand motion in a tight turn than a round wheel would, which is the one adjustment worth knowing before pulling away.

Tesla sells the Model S in two versions, a dual motor car built for range and a tri-motor Plaid built purely for outright acceleration. Our fleet runs the Plaid, which is the quicker of the 2 by a wide margin.
Tesla Model S
The standard Model S is the dual motor, all-wheel drive car and the entry point to the Model S range. Its 2 motors make about 670 hp and reach 60 mph in roughly 3.1 seconds, while the softer tune buys the longest range in the lineup at around 405 miles. A round steering wheel is offered in place of the yoke on it, and we do not run that one.
Tesla Model S Plaid
The Model S Plaid is the version we run and the top of the range. A third motor lifts combined output to 1,020 hp and cuts the run to 60 mph to 1.99 seconds with rollout included, with carbon sleeved rotors letting the motors spin to 20,000 rpm. A rear carbon spoiler is standard. The optional Track Package raises the limited top speed further, and ours does not carry one.
