Fourth of July Exotic Car Rental in Huntington Beach

Most people plan a Fourth of July exotic car rental around the fireworks. In Huntington Beach, that is the night the car does the least. The roads near the pier close for much of the day, and the parking lots take an hour or more to empty after the show. The car does its best work on the days around the Fourth, so rent it for the whole weekend.
In 2027 the weekend is a long one. July 4 falls on a Sunday, and the federal holiday moves to Monday, July 5. A rental from Saturday to Monday covers three days, and three days take 10% off the daily rate.
What Huntington Beach closes on the Fourth
The city calls its parade the largest Independence Day parade west of the Mississippi. The 2027 schedule is not out yet. The 2026 schedule is the best guide until it is.
In 2026 the 122nd parade started at 10 a.m. on Pacific Coast Highway at 9th Street. It ran past the pier and up Main Street through downtown. The route is 2.5 miles long and ends just past Yorktown Avenue. That morning, no car gets near Main Street, including the one you rented.
Here is what the city closed and charged on July 4, 2026.
- Pacific Coast Highway, Goldenwest Street to Beach Boulevard, closed from 5 a.m. to about 2 p.m.
- Main Street, Pacific Coast Highway to Gothard Street, closed for the same hours.
- The first three blocks of Main Street stayed closed until about 2 p.m. on July 5.
- The pier closed completely at 5 p.m.
- Fireworks Over the Ocean launched from the end of the pier at 9 p.m.
- The Main Promenade Parking Structure charged a flat $40.
- The city beach lot charged $40 a space, with its only entrance at Beach Boulevard.
The city also warned drivers about the exit. People who parked in the structure or the beach lots should expect to wait at least 90 minutes to leave after the fireworks.
That wait is worse in a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder. You sit low, with the V10 behind your head, and the line moves one car length at a time. The people walking past are looking for their own cars in the dark. So the Fourth itself is the wrong day to plan your drive around.
Why July 3 and July 5 are the days to drive
In 2027, July 3 is a Saturday. In 2026, Pacific Coast Highway closed only on the morning of July 4. The Pier Plaza Festival still ran from noon to 9 p.m. on July 3. You get the music and the holiday crowd without the road closures.
Get behind the wheel of the Evo Spyder and lower the roof at the light by the pier. The soft top folds in 17 seconds and works while the car is rolling at low speed. The black body has a black and red cabin. With the roof down, the red seats show from across the road.
Drive north toward Bolsa Chica in the late afternoon. The beach sits on one side and the wetlands on the other. Leave the car in Strada through town and the V10 stays quiet. Once the road opens up, switch to Sport and let the engine climb past 4,000 rpm.
Monday, July 5, is the last day of the long weekend. The bike parade closed Main Street from about 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in 2026, so plan around the morning. By the afternoon, the coast road south to Newport Beach and Laguna Beach is yours.
Choosing a Fourth of July exotic car rental for the weekend
The right car depends on how many people ride with you. It also depends on whether you want to drive the weekend or arrive at it. Here are four cars that fit a holiday weekend on the coast.
The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder is the car for two people who want to drive. The black one rents for $1,295 a day. Its deposit is $2,000, and extra miles cost $3 each. It makes 640 horsepower and reaches 60 mph in 3.1 seconds.
The Rolls Royce Dawn is the car for four people who want the ride to be the event. The white Dawn rents for $1,195 a day. Its cabin is orange and black, and every seat is in the open with the roof down. The fabric roof folds in about 20 seconds. The doors are hinged at the back, so passengers step out standing and facing forward.
Pull the Dawn up to a hotel near the pier on Saturday evening. The valet opens the door, and your date steps out of a white Rolls Royce with orange seats. The other couple climbs out of the back of the same car.
The G-Wagon AMG G63 is the car for a beach day with five people and their gear. The black G63 with a black and red cabin rents for $695 a day. It seats five and has side exhaust pipes. Its doors close with a heavy mechanical thunk that Mercedes kept on purpose.
The Corvette C8 Stingray is the car for a first exotic on a holiday budget. The white Stingray rents for $495 a day. Its 6.2 liter V8 sits behind the seats and makes 490 horsepower. It can lift its nose two inches before a steep driveway, which helps at hotels along the coast.
How the miles and the discount work over three days
Every car includes 100 miles a day. A three day rental pools them, so you get 300 miles for the whole weekend. If you plan a longer run, say so at booking and the miles are priced in ahead of time.
The discount comes from the length of the rental. You don't have to ask for it. Here is how it applies to the white Dawn over three days.
- Daily rate, $1,195
- Three days at the full rate, $3,585
- Three day discount, 10%
- Three days after the discount, $3,226.50
Stretch the rental to five days and the discount rises to 15%. That suits a renter who flies in on Thursday. The car can be waiting at the curb at John Wayne Airport, and the coast is a short drive from the terminal.
Where the car sleeps on the night of the fireworks
Overnight, the car stays with a hotel valet or in a hotel garage, never on the street. The keys stay with you. On the night of the Fourth, that rule matters more than usual. Downtown streets are full of people until late, and the beach lots are packed.
Think about the drive home before the night starts. If anyone is drinking, there is a chauffeur or a sober driver for the ride home. Anyone else who will drive has to be on the contract before the rental starts. They pass the same license and insurance check as you.
The simplest plan is the one most people skip. Leave the car at the hotel valet in the afternoon and walk to the beach. You watch the fireworks with your feet in the sand while the Evo Spyder sits in the garage. On Monday morning, the valet brings the car up with the roof down and Pacific Coast Highway is open.
How early to book a holiday weekend
A week or two of notice covers most dates. Holiday weekends go first, and the Fourth is one of them. So I'd book as soon as your hotel is set.
The requirements are the same as any other weekend. You need to be 18 or older, with a valid driver's license and full coverage insurance in your own name. A larger deposit may apply under 25. We call your insurance company before the rental to confirm that your policy covers a car that is not listed on it.
The Fourth in Huntington Beach is one night of fireworks inside a three day weekend. The roads close on the Fourth, and they open again on the days around it. Rent the car for all three days and drive it when the road is open.
