How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Mercedes-Benz?

Renting a Mercedes-Benz costs $395 to $1,195 a day before delivery. The low end is an AMG GT 53 fastback. The high end is a black 2024 Maybach GLS 600. How much it costs to rent a Mercedes-Benz comes down to the body you pick. The badge alone tells you very little about the price.
Every rental day includes 100 miles. Delivery is quoted by your address, and the security deposit is a hold on your card rather than a charge.
Mercedes-Benz rental prices by model
Here are the daily rates for the main Mercedes-Benz models on the site. Where a model shows a range, the price changes with the year, the trim or the color.
- AMG GT, $395 to $995 a day
- S-Class, $395 to $445 a day
- AMG C63, $595 a day
- G-Wagon, $595 to $995 a day
- Maybach S580 and S680, $695 to $895 a day
- AMG SL, $895 a day
- Maybach GLS 600, $795 to $1,195 a day
Two cars share the $395 rate and sit at opposite ends of the brand. One is the AMG GT 53, a four-door fastback in black over red. The other is an S580 sedan in black. Pull either one up to a restaurant in Newport Beach and the valet sees the same three-pointed star on the nose. The fastback sits low and wide on the street. The sedan is longer, taller and quieter at the door.
Why the Maybach GLS 600 sits at the top
The Maybach GLS 600 is a four-seat SUV built around the two people in the back. Its rear seats recline with a motor, and a refrigerated armrest sits between them. A step slides out from under the door sill when a rear door opens. Mercedes builds all of that for the passengers.
The black 2024 car lists at $1,195 a day. Other GLS 600s rent for $795 to $995 a day. The rate for each one is on its own listing, so check the car you want before you plan the budget.
Picture the black one at a hotel entrance in La Jolla. You stop at the door, the step glides out, and your guests climb down without reaching for a handle. The V8 makes 550 hp, but nobody at the door hears it. They hear the rear doors close.
That is why the GLS 600 makes sense for an airport pickup. The car can be delivered to the LAX curb, and your guests settle into the back before you reach the freeway. Book it when the people in the rear seats are the reason for the rental.
The G-Wagon covers the middle of the range
The G-Wagon runs from $595 to $995 a day. A grey G550 starts that range at $595. An AMG G63 rents for $595 to $995 a day, depending on the year and the color.
The top of the G-Wagon range is a matte black 2022 G63 at $995. That car carries a $2,000 deposit, and it bills $7 for each extra mile. A white G63 over a blue cabin sits just below it at $895. The Brabus 800 also lists at $895, in black over red.
Three 2023 G63s in gold, grey and black all rent for $695. That means you can pick the paint you want to step out of without paying more for it.
The G-Wagon drives like a truck on purpose. It sits tall, the V8 pulls hard late in the rev range, and the nose lifts under full throttle. People at a valet stand in Beverly Hills see the boxy shape and know what it is from a block away.
How much does it cost to rent a Mercedes-Benz for three days or longer
The daily rate drops on its own when you keep the car longer, so you don't have to ask for it. Here is the discount ladder.
- 1 to 2 days, full daily rate
- 3 to 4 days, 10% off
- 5 to 6 days, 15% off
- 7 to 13 days, 20% off
- 14 to 20 days, 30% off
- 21 to 27 days, 40% off
- 28 days or more, 50% off
Take a $695 G63 for three days. That is $2,085 at the full rate. The 10% discount brings it to $1,876.50 before delivery.
Now take a $795 Maybach GLS 600 for a week. Seven days at the full rate is $5,565. The 20% discount brings it to $4,452.
The $395 AMG GT 53 works out to $2,212 for a week. That buys seven mornings with the fastback parked outside your door. You also get 700 pooled miles for the week, which covers a lot of driving between Laguna Beach and Malibu.
The cheapest Mercedes-Benz rental is an AMG GT
The lowest daily rate for a Mercedes-Benz on the site belongs to the AMG GT 53 at $395. A black AMG GT 63 with a red cabin also rents for $395. Both are four-door fastbacks that seat four people with their luggage.
The AMG GT name covers two very different cars, and that surprises people. The GT 53 and GT 63 are the four-door cars that ride on air suspension. The GT R is the two-seat rear-drive coupe. It rents for $795 in blue or in green, and it is the one built for a canyon road.
Take the GT 63 down Coast Highway through Laguna Beach in the evening. The steering sharpens below 60 mph as the rear wheels turn against the fronts. Three friends ride with you, which the GT R can't do. You hear the exhaust echo off the shop fronts at every light.
The AMG GT price climbs with the body and the year. A 2025 GT 43 in silver tops the model at $995. The silver GT C Roadster sits at $895 with its fabric roof.
Deposits and mile rates change by car
Most Mercedes-Benz cars on the site carry a $1,000 deposit. A few carry more, and here are the ones that differ.
- White AMG G63, $1,500 deposit, $5 per extra mile
- Matte black AMG G63, $2,000 deposit, $7 per extra mile
- AMG GT 43, $2,500 deposit, $5 per extra mile
- AMG GT C Roadster, $2,500 deposit, $5 per extra mile
The deposit is a hold, released once the car comes back in the condition it left. It covers small things like a curbed wheel. Your own insurance covers damage, subject to your deductible.
The mile rate matters on a long weekend. A three-day rental pools 300 miles. You might plan a drive from Newport Beach down to La Jolla in the G-Wagon. Say so at booking, and the miles get priced in ahead of time instead of billed after.
What you need before you get the keys
You need to be 18 or older with a valid driver's license, plus full coverage insurance in your own name. A larger deposit may apply under 25.
Your policy has to cover a rental car that isn't listed on it, which is called non-owner vehicle coverage. We call your insurance carrier on a recorded line to confirm it before every rental. Credit card rental coverage almost never applies, because most card benefits exclude cars worth more than $50k to $75k.
Once the call clears, the car comes to you. That might be your hotel in Beverly Hills or your driveway in Newport Beach. The handoff photos record the car's condition, and then you're behind the wheel.
Mercedes-Benz prices spread wide because the brand builds a $395 fastback and a $1,195 SUV under the same star. Decide first whether you're booking the front seat or the back seat. The front seat points you to an AMG GT or a G-Wagon. The back seat points you to a Maybach.
