How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Rolls Royce Per Day, Per Week, and Per Mile

Most people guess a Rolls Royce costs more to rent than a Lamborghini, but it usually costs less. So the plain answer to how much does it cost to rent a Rolls Royce is $895 to $2,995 a day across the 11 we run. The Wraith is the floor at $895, and the Phantom is the ceiling at $2,995. Nine of the 11 sit between $995 and $1,795, and every one of them includes 100 miles a day and carries a deposit hold of $1,000 to $3,000.

Why a Rolls Royce costs less than a Lamborghini

Our cheapest Lamborghini is $995 a day and our most expensive is $3,995. Our cheapest Rolls Royce is $895, and the top of the range stops at $2,995. The gap is widest at the top, where a day in the Phantom costs $1,000 less than a day in the most expensive Lamborghini on the site.

The two brands also do opposite jobs at the curb. A Lamborghini pulls up low and loud, and the crowd forms around the doors. A Rolls Royce pulls up high and silent, and the valet walks to the back door before you've touched a handle. On a Saturday night in Beverly Hills, he has already decided who's inside before anyone steps out. That read is what the rate buys, and it happens to cost less than the scissor doors.

The Rolls Royce rental price for every car we run

Here is every Rolls Royce on the site and its daily rate. Two models carry two prices, so read the car, not just the name.

The Wraith is the part nobody expects. It's the cheapest Rolls Royce we run, and it's also the most powerful, with 624 hp from a twin-turbo V12. There's an inch of dead travel at the top of the pedal, then the rear end squats and the car builds speed like a plane on a runway. It's a two door coupe built for the person holding the wheel.

The Phantom sits at the other end for a different reason. It's the flagship sedan, over 5.7 meters long, and it's built around the back seat. Our Phantom is white with an orange and white cabin, and when it eases up to a hotel entrance, people on the steps stop talking before the rear door opens. That pause is the $2,995.

What the deposit and the miles add

The deposit is a hold on your card, not a charge, and it's released after the car comes back the way it left. On our Rolls Royces the hold is $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000, depending on the car. The Wraith, the Dawn, and two of the Cullinans carry $1,000. The Ghosts, the Spectre, and the other Cullinans carry $2,000. The Phantom carries $3,000, the highest hold in the Rolls Royce fleet.

Every car includes 100 miles a day, and a multi-day rental pools them, so a Dawn on a 2 day booking has 200 miles of open roof to spend. Past that, each car bills its own rate per extra mile. Four of our five Cullinans are $3 a mile, the lowest overage rate on any Rolls Royce we run. The Wraith and the 2018 Ghost are $4. The Spectre, the Dawn, and the 2023 Ghost are $5, and the Phantom is $10.

So the Cullinan is the one to take somewhere far. Picture the pickup at the John Wayne Airport curb, the tailgate up, two bags in, and the coast a few minutes out. The cabin seals out the freeway so well that the V12 disappears at cruise. A day like that down to Laguna Beach sits well inside the allowance. If you know the trip runs longer, say so at booking and we price the miles in ahead of time.

How much does it cost to rent a Rolls Royce for a week

Less per day, and nobody has to ask, because the discount comes from the length of the booking. Days 1 and 2 are at the full rate. Days 3 to 4 take 10% off, days 5 to 6 take 15%, and days 7 to 13 take 20%. After that it's 30% from day 14, 40% from day 21, and 50% from day 28.

Run that on real cars and the numbers move a lot. A Wraith for a week is $5,012, which works out to about $716 a day. A Cullinan at $1,495 comes to $8,372 for the week, about $1,196 a day. That's roughly what a single day in the Dawn costs. A Phantom for 2 days is $5,990, and the same Phantom for 7 days is $16,772.

The week changes how the car feels, too. By the third morning you stop noticing the Spirit of Ecstasy out past the hood and start noticing the people who notice it. By day seven the doorman in La Jolla has stopped asking whose car it is.

Driving it yourself or riding in the back

Each Rolls Royce leans one way, toward the driver or toward the back seat. The Phantom is built to be arrived in. Its pedals are tuned for a chauffeur's touch, and the ride moves in long slow waves meant for whoever sits behind you. Chauffeur service is available on request on our Rolls Royces.

The Cullinan and the Wraith lean the other way. The Cullinan is the one Rolls Royce built mainly for the owner to drive, with the highest seat in the range. The Dawn splits the difference as a four seat convertible, and the roof folds in about 20 seconds while you're still rolling. On Pacific Coast Highway through Malibu at golden hour, everyone in that car is on display, which is the whole reason to book it.

The Spectre is its own case, the first electric Rolls Royce, with 577 hp from two motors and no engine at all. It pulls away from a valet stand making almost no sound, and the door closes itself from a button behind you. It does roughly 260 miles on a charge, so for a long desert run you plan a charging stop and tell us at booking.

The call that decides the rental

Insurance isn't in the rate and we don't sell it, so your own auto policy has to carry full coverage that extends to a rental car that isn't on your policy. That's called non-owner vehicle coverage, meaning coverage for cars not listed on your declarations page. It can't carry an exotic exclusion or a cap that rules the car out. Before every rental we call your carrier with an agent on a recorded line and confirm it.

Here's the honest part. The rate is rarely what stops a Rolls Royce rental, the policy is. Credit card rental coverage almost never applies, because most card benefits exclude cars worth more than $50k to $75k. A client who can pay for a Phantom but carries a low cap on his policy doesn't get the Phantom. So call your carrier before you picture yourself stepping out of that back door in Beverly Hills.

You also need to be 18 or older, with a valid license and full coverage insurance in your own name. A larger deposit may apply under 25. Delivery is quoted by address, to the hotel, the house, or the airport curb.

The cheapest Rolls Royce we run is also the most powerful one. So the rate was never paying for speed. It pays for the silence, the door, and the few seconds before you step out.
