Sport trim means Magnetic Ride Control comes standard, reading the road constantly to keep the ride flat, along with the blacked out grille and 22 inch wheels. 420 horsepower and a 6.0 second run to sixty, the same figures as every other Escalade we run. On the climb up Newport Coast Drive or a wet stretch of the 405 toward Los Angeles, the four wheel drive and the Magnetic Ride keep the truck settled where a standard car would feel looser.
How It Photographs
Black on black in Sport trim is the standard livery look for this kind of truck, and it photographs as functional rather than special, which for most bookings is correct. It belongs in frames outside a venue in Costa Mesa or an office in Irvine, where the truck is transport rather than subject. Shoot at dusk or under artificial light so the vertical lighting signature reads and the body picks up some depth, since flat daylight along a street like Newport Coast Drive flattens it completely. If the Escalade needs to be the subject of the photograph, the white ESV Sport Platinum is the better booking.
