How It Drives
There is no turbo anywhere in this car, which is rare in our fleet now and rarer every year across Ferrari's own lineup. The 4.5 liter flat plane V8 makes 562 horsepower and does not build real force until you rev it, with peak torque arriving at 6,000 rpm rather than off idle the way a turbo car delivers it. Sixty comes in 3.3 seconds, and the character is the reach toward 9,000 rpm rather than a shove out of a corner. On Santiago Canyon Road, hold a gear longer than instinct suggests and let it climb. The steering is very fast and very light, quick enough that the car pivots around a corner before you expect it to.

Why This One
This is the only naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari we run. Every other V8 in our fleet, the F8s and the Portofino, is turbocharged, and the SF90 and 296 add a battery on top of their turbos. If the reason you want a Ferrari is the sound of an engine climbing to 9,000 rpm with nothing filtering it, this is the one, and there is no alternative in our fleet that does the same thing. It asks more of the driver than the newer cars, since torque only really arrives once you rev it, but that is the entire point of booking it rather than an F8.
