The black Lamborghini Huracan STO with the yellow livery and the black and yellow alcantara interior is based in Los Angeles. This is the one for the driver who has done the Spyder weekend and wants the version with the wing, the fin and no all-wheel drive, and for the shoot that needs a car that looks like it came off a grid. You can have it brought to you in Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire.
The chassis is the story here. The STO sends all 631 hp to the rear wheels only, it is 43 kg lighter than the Performante, and the whole front end lifts as a single carbon piece. Stiffer springs, quicker rear-wheel steering, and carbon ceramic brakes built for repeated hard stops, so they feel wooden for the first mile and then bite harder than any other Huracan. The first 10 minutes you drive it slowly, because the ride reports every seam and the bucket seats hold you still. The 5.2L V10 behind your head is the Tecnica's engine with the exhaust nearer your ears. Take it up Angeles Crest on a weekday morning at a steady pace and it turns in with no delay, the wing and the fin keeping it planted through the sweepers. Respect the road.
Black with a yellow stripe is a graphic. From the front the yellow splitter lip, hood stripe and sill line read as a single drawn outline. From the rear the wing, the fin and the yellow diffuser lip stack into the frame. In direct sun the black turns into a mirror and the carbon vents show their weave, so shoot at an angle to the light. In open shade the black goes flat and the yellow pops harder. After dark the yellow stripe is the only thing a street light finds. Close detail, the carbon mirror with the wing behind it. Shoot it on an empty rooftop deck in Downtown Los Angeles, or on the straight of Encinal Canyon Road.
This is the only STO we run, and at $2,495 a day it is the most expensive Huracan in our lineup, which is the point. Of the 4 Huracans we base in Los Angeles, the Tecnica shares its engine, the Sterrato shares its V10 and nothing else, and the Evo Spyder is the one with the roof. The STO is the one with the wing, the fin and the race livery, the only Huracan we have built from a race car. Book it when the wing is the point.
STO stands for Super Trofeo Omologata, the road version of the Super Trofeo race car. It brings rear-wheel drive, 631 hp, a carbon front clamshell that lifts as a single piece, a shark fin, an adjustable rear wing, rear-wheel steering, carbon ceramic brakes and 3 modes called STO, Trofeo and Pioggia. This car is black with the yellow STO livery on the splitter, sills, hood stripe and diffuser, on black mesh wheels. Carbon fibre on the mirrors, rear wing, hood vents and fender louvers. Inside it is black alcantara with yellow stripes on the bucket seats, STO stitched into the backrests, a yellow band on the wheel, yellow door inserts, yellow floor mats and drilled pedals. 2 seats.
