Ferrari's plug-in hybrid flagship, with all-wheel drive, electric reverse, and no rev counter on the dash.
The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the quickest and most technically dense car in the fleet, a 986 hp plug-in hybrid flagship whose three electric motors fill in before the twin-turbo V8's turbos ever spool up. It goes to a renter who has already driven an F8 or a 488 and wants that from a standing start, not to a first Ferrari rental.
The pull feels instant and continuous rather than building in stages, with the steering just two turns between locks and a brake pedal closer to a race car's than a road car's. The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is a two-seat car built for the drive rather than the trip.
The Ferrari SF90 is for a renter who has already driven an F8 or a 488 and wants to know what 986 hp feels like from a standing start. It is not the car for a first-time exotic renter, since the brake pedal is short and firm by design, the cabin runs entirely on touch controls with no physical start button, and the sheer acceleration takes some getting used to. Luggage space is minimal, with a shallow 74 liter front tray, so this is a two-seat car built for the drive rather than the trip, and the car can even reverse using its front electric motors alone.
Ferrari sold the SF90 in two road body styles, added an extreme XX pair above them, and offered a track package on top of the standard cars. Prometheus Exotics runs the SF90 Stradale coupe, the standard car of the four.
The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the fixed roof coupe and the car in our fleet. A 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 works with 3 electric motors for 986 hp and all wheel drive. Ours keeps the adaptive dampers and a working bumpy road button rather than the fixed track suspension of the harder cars. There is no analog rev counter.
The SF90 Spider is the retractable hardtop version of the same drivetrain and the first plug in hybrid Ferrari sold as an open top car. It makes the same 986 hp and carries roughly 100 kg more for the roof and the reinforcement under it. We do not run one, and the coupe is the lighter way in.
Assetto Fiorano is the factory track package for the Stradale and the Spider, not a separate model. It brings Multimatic racing dampers, carbon fiber panels, a titanium exhaust, and stickier tires, and cuts about 30 kg. The bumpy road button stops working with it, so the ride gets noticeably harder. Our SF90 Stradale is not an Assetto Fiorano car.
The SF90 XX Stradale is the track derived coupe, raised to 1,016 hp with a fixed rear wing, far more downforce, and a stripped interior. Ferrari built 799 of them and sold every one before delivery. It is road legal but tuned well past what a public road rewards, and it is not in our fleet. It is track equipment.
The SF90 XX Spider is the open top XX, with the same 1,016 hp hybrid drivetrain under a folding hardtop. Ferrari built 599, fewer than the coupe. Neither XX is in our fleet, which leaves the SF90 Stradale we run as the usable end of this range rather than the extreme one. Both XX models were sold before delivery.
