The McLaren GT is the one car in our McLaren range built to carry luggage as well as a driver, a two-seat, mid-engine supercar with a glass tailgate over 570 liters of space and softer front springs than anything else we run. It goes to the multi-day trip, the airport pickup, and the renter who found a 720S or a 750S simply too stiff.
How It Drives
The GT rides comfortable by supercar standards, carrying more body roll than a 720S but the same underlying grip, with smaller turbos pulling hard from low in the rev range. That ease is what makes it the McLaren for a week away rather than an afternoon loop with nothing in the back.
Who Rents It
The McLaren GT suits the multi-day trip with actual luggage, the airport pickup, and the golf outing, along with any renter who wants the McLaren doors without the harder edge of the 750S or 720S sitting underneath them. It also suits a driver who found the 750S or 720S simply too stiff for daily comfort, since the GT trades some of their focus for a ride reviewers call comfortable by supercar standards, even if it is not the plushest car in our whole fleet by any stretch. A renter planning a week away rather than an afternoon out tends to land here first.

McLaren built 1 grand tourer and sold it under named specifications that changed only the cabin materials, then replaced it with a lightly revised version called the McLaren GTS. Prometheus Exotics runs the GT, the softer of the 2 cars.
McLaren GT
The McLaren GT is the car Prometheus Exotics runs, a 612 hp 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 under a glass-topped rear hatch holding 420 liters of luggage, more than any other McLaren carries. Steel brakes are standard and carbon ceramics optional, so stopping feel varies by build sheet rather than by the name on it. Its suspension is the softest and longest travelling in the range, and cashmere was offered inside.
McLaren GTS
The McLaren GTS replaced the GT with 626 hp, a lighter body and revised damper and spring tuning, on the same carbon tub, the same 7-speed dual clutch gearbox and the same glass rear hatch. Prometheus Exotics does not run a GTS. A renter moving between the 2 cars would notice slightly sharper throttle response at low speed and very little else, because the body and the cabin carry over.
