The white Lamborghini Aventador S with the black interior is based in Los Angeles. It is the scissor-door V12, the car you book for the moment the door goes up outside the venue, with 730 hp and all-wheel drive underneath it. It is the lower rate of the 2 Aventadors we base in Los Angeles. We deliver it across Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire.
The door hinges up and forward, you step over the wide sill and drop into the seat, then reach up and pull the door down over you. Lift the red flap, press the start button, and the 6.5L V12 catches with a bark a few inches behind your head. The Aventador S was the first Aventador with rear-wheel steering, and you feel it in the first 10 minutes. The rear wheels turn against the fronts at low speed, so a car this wide turns tighter through a Beverly Hills intersection than it should. The single-clutch gearbox lurches at parking speed. That is normal, and in manual on the paddles it is clean. 730 hp and all-wheel drive, 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds, and in Sport the V12 climbs to 8,500 rpm. Take it along the Sunset Strip at night.
White over black with black wheels and red calipers is a clean, high-contrast spec, and the doors do the rest. In direct sun white blows out, so shoot in open shade or at dusk when the paint turns soft and the body lines show. After dark white is the colour that still reads under street light, so this is the Aventador to shoot at night. Take the front three-quarter with both doors up and the sky behind, which is the photo we have, taken on a rooftop deck at dusk. Shoot close on the red caliper inside the black wheel. Shoot it on a Downtown Los Angeles rooftop at the same hour, or at the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey.
We run 5 Aventadors. Here in Los Angeles there are 2, both white, this Aventador S and the Aventador SV with the fixed carbon wing. The other 3 are a red SV in Orange County and the 2 SVJs, a grey coupe in Orange County and a white roadster in San Diego. This is the lower rate of the 2 in Los Angeles and the only one here with rear-wheel steering, so it parks easier. Pick it for the doors and the V12 without the SV rate.
This is the Aventador S, the updated Aventador coupe with rear-wheel steering. Standard on it is the 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 at 730 hp, the 7-speed single-clutch gearbox, all-wheel drive, carbon ceramic brakes, the scissor doors, 4 drive modes including the EGO custom mode, and CarPlay. This one is white on black wheels with red calipers and has the hydraulic nose lift. Inside it is black. The 2 seats sit deep in the carbon tub and the windscreen is a slot, so the view out is narrow and the sound is close. The trunk under the hood takes 2 soft bags and nothing bigger.
