How It Drives
The rear doors are hinged at the back rather than the front, which Rolls Royce calls coach doors, and they change how you arrive somewhere more than any performance figure does. You step out forwards rather than swinging out sideways, which matters in formal clothes and is the reason the design survived. Behind that ceremony sits 592 horsepower from a twin turbo V12 and a 4.9 second run to sixty that the car does its best to conceal. Air suspension and all-wheel drive keep it level and planted over the speed bumps on the way into a Newport Beach venue, and the doors close themselves at the touch of a button.

White with an orange interior is the brightest Cullinan Black Badge we run, and the coach doors are the frame everybody wants near Fashion Island or a Newport Beach hotel drive. Open both on one side and the entire cabin is exposed, which nothing with conventional doors can do, and the orange leather against a white body is as strong a contrast as our fleet offers. Shoot it square to the side with both doors open. The upright grille and the Spirit of Ecstasy carry the front angles. White holds its detail in direct daylight, so there is no wrong time of day along the coast to shoot this one.
Why This One
The only white Black Badge we run, and the only one of the three where the coach doors read as ceremonial rather than menacing. Black Badge darkens all the chrome, so on our two black cars the grille and the figure on the bonnet disappear into the bodywork. On this one the contrast survives against the white paint. That makes it the Black Badge for weddings and daylight events near Newport Beach and Fashion Island. It also carries the smaller deposit of the three, with a higher per mile rate as the trade.
