The Blu Le Mans Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica with the black alcantara and bright blue interior is based in Orange County. It is the rear-wheel-drive Huracan with the fixed wing and the naturally aspirated V10, so it is the car for the Ortega Highway morning, the birthday that was always going to be a Lamborghini, the shoot that needs the loudest colour on the lot. Delivery runs through Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Palm Springs and the Inland Empire.
The engine is the mechanism. A 5.2 liter V10 with no turbos, 631 hp, and a limiter at 8,500 rpm, so nothing arrives in a shove. It builds, and the last 2,000 rpm are the point. Flip the red flap, press start, and it barks once before Strada shuts the valves and it goes civil. The Tecnica sends all of it to the rear wheels, with rear-wheel steering that makes it turn in sharper than a Huracan on 4 driven wheels, and the 7-speed dual-clutch shuffles like a normal automatic. Sport opens the exhaust and you get a burst of backfires on every lift. The ride is hard but not punishing. Carbon ceramic brakes squeal when cold. Take it up Ortega Highway from San Juan Capistrano in Sport with the windows down under the oaks.
Blu Le Mans is a bright blue with no purple in it, and it reads as paint from the next block. In direct sun the hood and roof go pale and the sides hold full colour, so shoot it with the sun behind you. In open shade it goes royal blue and the black wheels, black wing and blue calipers draw the outline. After dark it photographs navy, so this is a daylight car. The frame to take is the rear three-quarter, wing and hexagonal exhausts in the corner. Shoot the blue caliper inside the black wheel close. These photos were taken on a rooftop deck. Put it on Newport Coast Drive above Pelican Hill.
This is the only Tecnica we base in Orange County, and the brightest blue in our Orange County Lamborghini row. Our other Tecnica is Verde Mantis in Los Angeles at the same $1,395 a day. The Huracans parked near this one in Orange County, the black Evo, the 2 Evo Spyders and the green coupe, all at $1,295, drive all 4 wheels. This is the one with the wing, the rear steer and the sharper nose, for the driver who wants the V10 and the chassis to match.
This is the Huracan Tecnica, the rear-wheel-drive Huracan with the STO's 631 hp V10 and a road body. Standard on the Tecnica, the fixed rear wing, the Y-shaped front end, the hexagonal exhaust outlets, rear-wheel steering, carbon ceramic brakes, the 8.4 inch portrait touchscreen and the 7-speed dual-clutch. This car is Blu Le Mans over a black alcantara cabin with bright blue inserts in both seats, blue stitching across the dash and door panels, blue alcantara on the center console and a blue band at the top of the wheel. It rides on black wheels with blue brake calipers. 2 seats, a frunk for 2 soft bags, and the V10 behind your head.
