This white Lamborghini Urus Performante with a black and white interior is based in Orange County. White shows off the carbon hood and the lower stance that our yellow Performante hides behind its own color. Book it when the handling hardware itself is the point of the shoot or the drive. It is the pricier of our two Performantes.
The Performante is the Urus with the comfort deliberately taken out. Lamborghini removed the air suspension entirely and fitted steel springs, dropped the car close to twenty millimeters, stiffened the anti roll bars, and widened the track. The result rides harder than any other Urus and corners flatter than any of them. 657 horsepower and 3.3 seconds to sixty, with a Rally mode that lets the rear axle move on loose surfaces. On a smooth run through Ortega Highway or Santiago Canyon Road it is the best handling SUV we rent by a clear margin. On broken pavement in town you feel every joint, which is the trade.
White with a black and white interior gives you the cleanest Urus in our fleet, and the one where the Performante bodywork actually reads. The lower stance, the wider track, and the carbon hood are all easier to see against a light body than a dark one, and near the harbor at Newport the white holds the shape in direct sun rather than flattening it. Shoot it at wheel height to make the drop obvious next to a standard Urus. The two tone cabin is unusually graphic for a Lamborghini interior and gives a strong second frame with a door open.
Two Performantes in our Orange County fleet, and this is the one where the hardware is visible. The lower stance, the wider track, and the carbon hood all read against a white body, where our yellow car hides them behind the color. It is the more expensive of the two and it carries the higher mileage rate, so it is the shoot car rather than the distance car. The two tone cabin is unique in our Urus fleet and matches nothing else we run.
This is the Urus Performante, the handling trim, which brings 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft, steel spring suspension in place of air, a carbon hood and roof, a titanium exhaust, column mounted paddles, and Alcantara covering the seats, all standard on this trim. Rally mode, built for loose surfaces, is part of the drive selector alongside Strada, Sport, and Corsa. The exterior is white paint over a black and white leather and Alcantara interior. All wheel drive, five seats, and four doors.
