Bentley rentals cost $595 to $895 a day before delivery. The low end is a black 2008 Continental GTC with a brown leather cabin. The high end is a white Continental GT coupe or a silver Continental GTC First Edition. How much it costs to rent a Bentley depends on the year and the engine more than the model name.

Every rental day includes 100 miles. The security deposit is a hold on your card, and delivery is quoted by your address.

Bentley rental prices, car by car

Here are the Bentley rates as each listing shows them. The region is where each car is based.

  • 2008 Continental GTC, black over brown, W12, $595 a day, Inland Empire
  • 2016 Continental GTC, white over white, V8, $795 a day, Palm Springs
  • 2020 Continental GTC First Edition, white over white, W12, $795 a day, Palm Springs
  • 2021 Continental GTC, white over red, V8, $795 a day, Orange County
  • 2022 Flying Spur, white over red, V8, $795 a day, Los Angeles
  • 2023 Bentayga S, black over black and red, V8, $795 a day, Los Angeles
  • 2020 Continental GT coupe, white over black, V8, $895 a day, San Diego
  • 2020 Continental GTC First Edition, silver over black and ivory, W12, $895 a day, Los Angeles

Most of the range sits at $795 a day. At that rate you choose between a convertible, a sedan and an SUV. Picture each one at a valet stand in Beverly Hills. The GTC pulls in with the roof folded and all four seats open to the street. The Flying Spur pulls in with a rear door ready for your guest. The Bentayga S pulls in tall and black, and its exhaust pops as you lift off the gas.

The cheapest Bentley rental is a 2008 Continental GTC

The black 2008 Continental GTC rents for $595 a day with a $1,000 deposit. It is a first-generation car with a twin-turbo W12. That engine makes 552 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. It sends the power to all four wheels through a six speed automatic.

This GTC is older, not smaller. Its 6.0 liter W12 is the larger of the two Continental engines. The car has no rotating display and no active anti-roll system, because those arrived on later Continentals. Its fabric roof works at up to 20 mph. It still has the Breitling clock on the dash and switches machined from real metal.

The car is based in the Inland Empire. Take it through Temecula wine country in the evening with the roof down. The W12 makes its torque from just above idle, so the engine never sounds busy. Black over brown is the most traditional Bentley pairing. It looks best in warm evening light, with the roof down and the wood veneer in view.

The $895 Bentleys are a coupe and a First Edition

Two Bentleys sit at the top of the range at $895 a day.

The white 2020 Continental GT is the fixed-roof coupe. It is based in San Diego and carries a $2,000 deposit. Its V8 makes 542 hp and reaches 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The fixed roof gives you a quieter cabin and four seats under cover in any weather.

Drive it up Torrey Pines Road toward La Jolla in Comfort mode, and the V8 barely makes a sound. Turn the collar around the start button to Sport, and the exhaust starts to growl.

The silver 2020 Continental GTC First Edition is based in Los Angeles. First Edition is the launch version Bentley built for the opening year of this Continental. It carries a 626 hp W12 and a top speed of 207 mph. Its rotating display turns from a screen to three analog dials to plain wood veneer.

The roof folds in 19 seconds at up to 30 mph. Fold it on Pacific Coast Highway through Malibu and hold a cruising pace. The cabin stays calm enough to talk at normal volume. The ivory headrests show above the door line, and people at the next light can see them.

A white First Edition based in Palm Springs lists at $795 a day. It has the same W12 and the diamond quilted seats from the Mulliner Driving pack.

Four doors at $795, the Flying Spur and the Bentayga S

The Flying Spur and the Bentayga S both rent for $795 a day. Both carry a $1,000 deposit and bill $4 for each extra mile. Both use a 542 hp twin-turbo V8. The difference is the body.

The Flying Spur is a five seat sedan with rear-wheel steering. Rear-wheel steering means the back wheels turn a little, so the long sedan turns in a tighter circle. Its boot holds about 14.8 cubic feet. That fits two or three full-size cases.

Meet your guests at the LAX curb in the white Flying Spur. Four adults and their bags fit in one car. Open a rear door for them, and the red leather is the first thing they see.

The Bentayga S is the five seat SUV with a sports exhaust and 22 inch wheels. It suits a group trip where you drive every day and want to hear the engine.

How much does it cost to rent a Bentley for a week

The daily rate drops on its own as the booking gets longer, so you don't have to ask for it. Here is the discount ladder.

  • 1 to 2 days, full daily rate
  • 3 to 4 days, 10% off
  • 5 to 6 days, 15% off
  • 7 to 13 days, 20% off
  • 14 to 20 days, 30% off
  • 21 to 27 days, 40% off
  • 28 days or more, 50% off

Take the $595 Continental GTC for a week. Seven days at the full rate come to $4,165. The 20% discount brings that to $3,332 before delivery.

Now take an $895 Bentley for five days. Five days at the full rate come to $4,475. The 15% discount brings that to $3,803.75.

Twenty-eight days in the $595 GTC come to $16,660 at the full rate. The 50% discount cuts that in half to $8,330. Delivery is charged on every rental, whatever the length.

A long booking also changes how you use the car. You park it in the hotel garage in Newport Beach each night, and the keys stay with you.

Deposits and extra miles by car

Most Bentleys carry a $1,000 deposit. The white Continental GT coupe carries $2,000. The deposit is a hold on your card, not a charge. It is released after the car comes back in the condition it left.

The hold covers small things, like a curbed wheel. Mile rates differ by car, and here is how they split.

  • $4 per extra mile on the 2008, 2016 and 2021 Continental GTC, the white First Edition, the Flying Spur and the Bentayga S
  • $5 per extra mile on the Continental GT coupe and the silver First Edition

Every day includes 100 miles, and a longer booking pools them. A three-day booking gives you 300 miles. Say you take the coupe from La Jolla up the coast and run 60 miles over. At $5 a mile, that adds $300. If you know the trip runs long, say so at booking so the miles are priced in ahead of time.

A Bentley or a Rolls Royce Ghost

People often weigh a Flying Spur against a Rolls Royce Ghost. The Ghost starts at $995 a day. It has a 563 hp V12 and coach doors that close from a button. The Flying Spur rents for $795 a day with a 542 hp V8.

The Ghost is built for the person in the back seat. The Flying Spur is built for the person driving it. The Flying Spur V8 carries 100 kilograms less over the front axle than the W12 version. On Mulholland Drive, the nose turns the moment you turn the wheel.

What you need before you get the keys

You need to be 18 or older with a valid driver's license. You also need full coverage insurance in your own name. A larger deposit may apply under 25.

Your policy has to cover a rental car that isn't listed on it. That is called non-owner vehicle coverage. We call your carrier on a recorded line to confirm it before every rental. Credit card rental coverage almost never applies, because most card benefits exclude cars worth more than $50k to $75k.

Once the call clears, the Bentley comes to your hotel, your home or the airport curb. The handoff photos record the car's condition. Then the keys are in your hand and the car is yours for the day.

The year of a Bentley sets more of its price than the name on the trunk. The 2008 GTC and the silver First Edition share a roof shape and a badge, and they are $300 a day apart. Decide how much you want the newer cabin, then book the car from that year.
