How Much to Rent an Urus Is Really Three Numbers

It costs $995 to $1,495 a day to rent a Lamborghini Urus from us, across the 13 we run. That daily rate is only the first number. A Saturday in the white 2023 Urus with 150 miles driven comes to $1,145. The same Saturday in a black 2020 Urus comes to $1,245. So the full answer to how much to rent an Urus is three numbers, the daily rate, the deposit hold, and the rate per extra mile.

Both of those cars cost $995 a day. Both make 641 hp and reach 60 in 3.6 seconds. Pull either one into the valet line at a restaurant in Newport Beach and the attendant sees the same low, wide Lamborghini with four doors and a back seat. The $100 gap only shows up on the invoice, after the miles are counted.

Thirteen Urus, five price points

We run more Urus than any other model in the fleet. The Lamborghini Urus rental price per day lands on one of five numbers, $995, $1,095, $1,195, $1,295, or $1,495. Here is every one, with the deposit hold and the extra mile rate from its own listing.

Five of the 13 sit at the $995 floor, so a first-time client gets the widest choice of color there. The black 2020 car is the only base Urus with an orange cabin, and it's the one people book for content. Open that door in a parking structure in Irvine and the orange leather lights up the whole frame.

The Urus rental deposit decides your mile rate

Read the deposit and the mile rate together, because they move in opposite directions. Every Urus with a $2,000 hold charges $3 a mile past the allowance. Every Urus with a $1,000 hold charges $5 or $6. There isn't one exception.

So the right car depends on the day you have planned. A client dinner and a lap of the coast usually stay inside 100 miles, and on that day the lower hold wins because you never touch the mile rate. A day that runs long flips it. Every mile past 100 costs you $2 to $3 less in the $2,000 cars.

The hold isn't a charge. It sits on your card and comes off once the Urus is back in the condition it left. I'll admit the bigger hold stings a little at booking, and it only pays you back once the day runs past 100 miles. Until then you're rolling down Newport Coast Drive at sunset with the tamburo lever in Strada, and the hold never crosses your mind.

Where the S, the Performante, and the Mansory earn their rate

The Urus S makes 657 hp, 16 more than the base car, with a louder exhaust tune in Sport and Corsa. The front bumper is about the only visual change. The black 2024 S at $1,095 is the cheapest way into that extra pull, and it keeps the $3 mile rate.

The Performante is a different car to drive. It swaps the air suspension for steel springs, sits lower on a wider track, and reaches 60 in 3.3 seconds. It's also the only Urus with a Rally mode, a setting built for loose surfaces. The ride is firm through town and it won't lift its nose for a steep driveway. On Santiago Canyon Road that same stiffness is the whole reason to book it.

The Widebody and the Mansory are the image end of the row. Under the Mansory's carbon panels sits a standard 641 hp Urus, so the extra $500 a day buys bodywork and attention. Its green interior is the only one like it in the fleet. Park it outside a hotel in Beverly Hills and the doorman looks at the car long before he looks at you.

How much to rent an Urus for three days, a week, or a month

One or two days run at the full rate. After that the discount comes from the length of the rental, not from asking for it.

• 3 days in the black 2024 Urus S, $2,956.50 after 10% off.
• 5 days in the white 2023 Urus, $4,228.75 after 15% off.
• 14 days in the white 2023 Urus, $9,751 after 30% off.
• 28 days in the white 2023 Urus, $13,930 after 50% off, or $497.50 a day.

The full ladder is 10% off at 3 to 4 days, 15% at 5 to 6, 20% at 7 to 13, 30% at 14 to 20, 40% at 21 to 27, and 50% at 28 or more. A month in the white car costs less per day than any Urus costs for a single day.

A long rental also changes how the car fits into your week. The Urus has heated rear seats, a 661 liter trunk, and room for a car seat. Day one it's a Lamborghini in the driveway. By day five it's the car you take to John Wayne Airport for a pickup, with two roller bags in the back and a friend who doesn't stop grinning the whole way to the coast.

An Urus rental cost that runs to Las Vegas and back

Las Vegas is the trip people ask about most. It's about 270 miles each way from Orange County, so a round trip covers roughly 540 miles over a 3 day booking. You have 300 miles in the pool, which leaves about 240 extra.

• White 2023 Urus at $3 a mile, about $720 in extra miles.
• Black 2020 Urus at $5 a mile, about $1,200 in extra miles.
• Mansory at $6 a mile, about $1,440 in extra miles.

That's a $480 swing between two cars with the same $995 daily rate. Out-of-state trips need advance notice, so ask first and we'll price the miles in before you leave. Then all you're thinking about on the climb out of Baker is the V8 pulling in Sport and the empty road in the mirror.

Insurance, and what the hold covers

Insurance isn't in the Urus rental cost, and we don't sell it. You need to be 18 or older, with a valid license and full coverage insurance in your own name. Your policy has to carry non-owner vehicle coverage, meaning it covers a car that isn't listed on your declarations page. We call your carrier on a recorded line to confirm it before the rental.

Credit card rental coverage almost never applies to an Urus. Most card benefits exclude cars worth more than $50k to $75k. The hold covers small things, like a wheel curbed on a tight hotel ramp. Damage goes to your insurance, subject to your deductible. Rear-wheel steering shrinks the Urus in a parking structure, which helps keep that wheel clean.

The SUVs people price against it

The Aston Martin DBX is $1,095 a day with a $2,000 hold and $5 a mile. It makes 542 hp and reaches 60 in 4.3 seconds. It's built to be quiet by default, and its orange cabin under a grey body waits until the door opens to say anything.

The Bentley Bentayga S is $795 a day with a $1,000 hold and $4 a mile. Same 542 hp, 4.4 seconds to 60, and a sports exhaust that pops on the overrun. It's $200 a day under the cheapest Urus.

The G-Wagon runs $595 to $895 a day. The white AMG G63 at $595 has 577 hp and a $1,500 hold. It reads as money on sight, the way the Urus does, but it gets there by standing tall and square instead of low and sharp.

The number to check first

The daily rate on an Urus only moves $500 from floor to ceiling. The mile rate can move more than that on one long weekend. So plan the route first, then pick the car whose hold and mile rate fit it.
